Was created in Buenos Aires September 2009 with the idea of making a new danceable tango based on a solid foundation of classic tango.
Orquesta Típica ANDARIEGA is a distinguished ensemble known for its dedication to the rich and diverse tradition of tango music. Their repertoire encompasses both classical and contemporary tango compositions, offering a nuanced and dynamic musical experience.
The orchestra has a repertoire “bien milonguero” – as we say in Spanish – which means that it is a music intimately connected to the milonga and good for dancing! It is a mix between new arrangements of the most popular tangos, waltz, milongas and new tango compositions that preserve the rhythmic and danceable spirit of the Forties and at the same time add the energy of the new tango movement of the millennium.
The innovative video clips made by the director of the orchestra, Luigi Coviello, has received recognition with a first prize for „Avanti” as „Best Video Clip” in El Festival y Mundial de Tango 2020.
In the 2023 the Andariega was among the three winners of „Best Video Clip” in El Festival y Mundial de Tango with the videoclip „Canto de amor”.
